I'm always impressed when I find that someone else has thought of a way of doing something I would never have thought of myself. Like whoever thought of conjugating a sugar to a radioactive substrate so we could scan the activity in a human brain, or Professor Yumus and his Grameen Bank; things I probably would not have figured out yet so obvious when someone else does them.
